Instructions for foreign applicants
If you wish to apply for a scholarship through the PPCIS, you must register for the General Selection Process.
If you wish to apply for a scholarship in your home country and need a letter of acceptance, please contact the PPCIS coordinator directly at ppcis.uerj@gmail.com.
If you wish to apply for a scholarship from the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES) for foreign students through the Postgraduate Student Agreement Program (PEC-PG), follow the instructions below:
If you are from a country with which Brazil has a Cultural and/or Educational Cooperation Agreement (check the list of countries on the CAPES website or at the Brazilian Consulate in your country) and wish to apply for a scholarship through the PEC-PG Program to study for a Master’s or Doctorate at the PPCIS, you must follow these procedures:
– Check the CAPES website for all the documents needed to apply online;
– Consult the lines of research and the ongoing projects of the professors in this Program (Faculty tab and Research tab >>> Lines of Research), choosing the research project with which you identify;
– Contact the selected professor by e-mail (available on the Faculty tab) showing your interest.
The application will be evaluated by the PPCIS Board, after the advisor has agreed, and then the letter of acceptance will be granted, which is necessary for enrolment in the PEC-PG Program.
